1986年，公司總經理張愛臣先生退伍回鄉(xiāng)后，與南京化工研究所共同研發(fā)MC尼龍材料在棒材與板材上的運用，并于1987年成立寶應魯垛特種尼龍器材廠。

1992年成立寶應新亞尼龍廠，主要生產各種規(guī)格的尼龍滑塊、滑輪、齒輪、管材等耐磨、耐腐件，產品結構和技術參數完全達到設計要求。

2004年成立揚州尼爾電器有限公司，專業(yè)生產MC尼龍電梯傳動輪，2006年原揚州尼爾電器有限公司更名為揚州尼爾工程塑料有限公司，繼續(xù)從事MC尼龍電梯傳動輪的研發(fā)、生產和銷售。

2009年，為進一步滿足日益增長的市場需求，進一步提升制造、辦公、信息化管理等水平，公司投入專項資金，新建尼龍輪生產線二期廠房和綜合辦公樓，并于2010年投入使用，產品年生產能力達60萬套。

2013年，為進一步提升市場競爭力，公司通過內外環(huán)境和SWOT分析，決定投入專項資金新建三期廠房，新增與MC尼龍電梯傳動輪配套的鈑金生產線，并于2014年全面投入使用。

公司技術研發(fā)團隊經過兩年不懈努力，成功研發(fā)出適用于中高速電梯運行的離心聚合一體式金屬襯套新型尼龍輪，填補了國內同類產品的空白，2015年投放市場，獲得客戶一致好評，同時，成功獲批國家發(fā)明zhuanli和實用新型zhuanli認定。

針對國內電梯傳動輪規(guī)格繁雜、標準不一的現狀，為簡化產品規(guī)格，滿足多方需求，經過多年調研、分析和試驗，對現有MC尼龍輪結構、參數和尺寸進行科學設計和規(guī)劃，形成一整套適合電梯行業(yè)MC尼龍傳動輪生產、安裝和使用的系列標準。

為著力構建MC尼龍輪澆鑄自動化和智能化工藝新體系，公司歷經三年市場調研和研發(fā)，在第四代澆鑄設備的基礎上，與設備制造商成功研發(fā)第五代MC尼龍輪全自動澆鑄設備，并擁有多項國家發(fā)明和實用新型zhuanli。

為進一步提高服務電梯行業(yè)的能力和水平，公司投入專項資金，一是通過精益生產設計思想對原電梯鈑金件生產線進行升級改造，以期獲得產能加倍、周轉加速、物流高效的新生產線，二是全自動MC尼龍輪澆鑄設備一、二期共十臺完成工藝布局、安裝調試并投入使用，生產效率、產品質量大幅提升。

迎合國家智改數轉的浪潮，公司持續(xù)加快推進智能工廠建設，2022年尼爾獲評江蘇省智能制造示范車間，MC尼龍輪年產能突破100萬套，實現可持續(xù)發(fā)展。與此同時，公司2021年創(chuàng)建了尼爾研創(chuàng)空間，將尼爾的研發(fā)創(chuàng)新平臺推向了新的高度。
